A friend and I drove to Austin Tuesday afternoon, spent the night at a hotel then went to get the papers processed around mid-morning. It was a very relaxing time for both of us.
The papers had been sent to Oklahoma last Monday (a week ago) instead of to us, so we have been waiting somewhat patiently (okay, not very patient!). They were overnighted to us this past Monday and arrived Tuesday morning. I made the rounds (library to get some computer stuff completed as our computer is still down, church to make copies of everything, bank to transfer money to pay for the Apostilles, lunch, Wal-Mart for a hairbrush, envelopes & toothpaste then back home in time for Dawn to pick me up). Busy day!
The Apostille process was rather quick (Thanks for the comment Ann!) which was nice. We then walked a half mile to a FedEx Office where I made a few copies and mailed it all off via FedEx overnight (Chris' step dad is letting us use his account - thanks Dave!). According to FedEx, the package was signed for around 8:41 Thursday morning.
Whew. At least that part is done.
Now we wait (AGAIN).
